Can I ask you all a simple question?

How long would it take the emergency services to get to you? In other words , roughly how much time do you think would pass from the time of placing a 911 call to the time the emergency services actually arrive at your door. 2 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes ?. I'll give you the reason for the question tomorrow.
Wilf is eating well (again), the village preparations for the 'festa' are proceeding shambolically apace, the weather was a mere 40 degrees yesterday which enabled the 'font' to sit out with me on the terrace laughing at the boyz antics and enjoying the cool night air until the small hours, and there was only one small earth tremor during the night. After the quake had passed I got up to see the courtyard full of hares rushing around - they had been disturbed by the earth movements. I have to say it was a truly magical sight.
We are supposed to be the hottest place in Italy today so the two troubadors will spend the morning down in the shade of the pool portico. If we're lucky they will then sleep through the heat of the afternoon.

I'm happy to hear that Wilf is again eating. That always worrying, I know! It is very hot and extremely humid here at the moment so it's inside play for my two furry ones. Edward continues to say his prayers for autumn. I think those prayers shall eventually be answered, for he is a very good boy!!

I so enjoy seeing the photographs of Wilf and Digby. Yours is a favourite,, and a daily, stop for me!

Have fun at the festival!

Oh my goodness, 40 degrees is awful. That is way too hot and 45 god, we'd melt.
The festival sounds wonderful.

We think (we hope) it would take 5-10 mins to get here.

I'm glad to hear that Wilf is eating again. That always concerns one when a dog won't eat.

As far as the emergency services go - it would probably take them about 30 minutes to get to us, but we live out in the country off the beaten path.

Have a fantastic day.

The Red Arrows arrive in Bournemouth tomorrow. Not sure whether it would be worth calling 999 if one of them were to fall out of the sky.
