Another bizarre sunset over Todi - broken snowfall record in Milan

The photo from the camera on the mobile phone doesn't do the scene justice but we are having another of the deepest red sunsets I've ever seen - anywhere. It must be something to do with the band of bitterly cold weather that is sitting over much of northern Europe. Apparently Milan has had the heaviest recorded snowfall since in over a hundred years.
Our micro-climate has been delightful with temperatures in low double digits and not a cloud in the sky until late in the afternoon.
